Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/242622876/cp_lazytown_f_d.vmf
This is the decompiled .vmf of lazytown_f for anyone who wants to look around or modify it.

and if you are going to modify (improve) the map, please make the map fully symmetrical (garage, fans, bushes, solid props) and if you can, remove the skybox (will improve fps / compile time) and please, dont 'improve' the textures or rename the map something like lazytown_pro or lazytown_<your name>, that just looks silly, just continue with the letters

and sponge or larky, feel free to upload the proper .vmf file

Been looking around some for this, thanks.

Always interesting to see how the map was built in hammer

Could you please elaborate on this? Do you think that the fps increase is worth the lack of sky in the map? What would one put in place of the skybox to fill the holes?

P.S. From what I understood Larky and Sponge don't have the original, they both have been working on fixing the things the decompiler didn't do right.

the enthire map needs to be sealed, so there are no leaks, and usually 'less good' mappers use a skybox (just a huge box of sky around the entire map) because it is way easier. it also makes the map way bigger (since it also contains the parts underneath the map and other space you don't need (and bigger = less fps)

the proper way to do this is just to seal the map from the sides, kind of difficult to explain. its not that hard to do, but it just takes some time

Hello there and sorry for digging up this old topic.
Going to rebuild Lazytown_f and trying to fix some bugs I noticed while playing.
Building on that, we might start another topic on how to change minor details in Lazytown that could improve or change gameplay slightly. But that's up to you... as we've seen in the past, trying to change something there is not always approved 8-)

GTFO have done a good job, but I don't like the teleporter entrances bug and how reflective the ground is in some places.

I am still at Blue startpoint. The thing with the skybox is a pain in the ***. They should have done it correct right from the start
At least you Nutters will get a nice 3D skybox now

Update 1: At capture point 3 atm. Found duplicate geometry - fixed.

Update 2: started new Topic here

any updates/fixes should be based on _g (the one with multiplay motd on it) and not _f

Yeah this was posted back in 2009, no wonder why the link is dead :?

:o Didn't realise that.
No one can decompile the latest version of the map, that's why I was asking for this version.
